Be Still and Know He is God!

Hurry, Hurry, scurry, worry! That is what we as christians do through out our day.
We rush around trying to get things done in a timely manner. - We think that we need to get things done faster and faster each day that we go to work, school, or even in our daily lives. That could work out; but We also could stress ourselves out to the point that we collapse and that is not a good thing.

God wants us to slow down and take a breather from time to time. He wants us to find that peace which pass’s all understanding that he has for us. God says, “ Be still, and know that I am God.” If we do not slow down and take time to get to know God through prayer, and our bible reading, we will not know the great and awesome things that he could do in our lives.

Jesus took time each day to pray and spend time with God so that he could draw closer to him in his walk. Jesus taught us that in all things we can trust in him, and in Gods timing for our lives. Mary took the time at Jesus’s feet to listen to what he had to say. - That is what we need to also do through out our daily walk with God.

We can find five minutes out of our busy day to pray, and to be still and know that God is God. As Steven Curtis Chapman sings: “Be still, and know he is holy,” “Be still and know he is faithful,” “Be still and Know he is God.”

Let us take the time today to Get to know our Heavenly Father, and to realize that We can find that peace which pass’s all understanding. Let us be still and know He is God!

Ron,

This is so true, and so important! We must always give God that quiet time to just sit, and meditate on his word. Let us always remember this.

Thanks for sharing.
